i'm sure many of you have seen fireproof (thanks becky!!!). if you haven't seen it, you should. it's a great movie. the movie focuses on a couple who's marriage is crumbling. the man's father give him book called the love dare. the father challenges his son to save his marriage. i have not read the book yet. i'm still waiting to get it from the library.
however, the other day when i was at mardels laminating (don't even get me started on how much i love to laminate things) i looked through the book section. i saw the love dare book, but i also saw the love dare cards. they were only $5.99. i purchased them.
before you start to worry, my marriage is not falling apart. however, i do think taking on the challenge of doing the 40 dares can do nothing but strengthen my marriage. we go through rough periods as anyone else does. we often have times when we are going, going, going that we do not stop to take time for each other. the longer we "go" the longer it take us to connect again.
i liked these cards because i can tape them up on my mirror or somewhere else to remind myself. if you'd like to participate you can. i am going to post a new dare every day. you can look on my right sidebar and click on it to find out the day's new dare. i may even write about how it's going. we'll see. i will start tomorrow. however, i will post tomorrow's dare today so i don't have to work on this tomorrow. it will be interesting to see God works in my heart and the officer's.
so what do you think - want to do the love dare with me?
