doggie doesn't want to grill

our dog, hobbs, is a great dog. when the kids go outside, he lopes up to them for an affectionate pet. he immediately lies down on his back for a rub on his belly. he never snaps or barks at the kids. they love him. he loves for them to play with him.

during our month of no television, the officer and the kids often took the dogs for a walk.

i'm sure hobbs thought nothing of it when the kids coming outside to play this morning.

i'm sure hobbs thought nothing of it when my daughter hooked a bungee cord onto this collar to "take him for a walk" around the yard.

i'm sure hobbs thought nothing of it when my son hooked him to the small coleman grill. my son thought it would keep him there.

i'm sure hobbs thought nothing of it when he decided to get up and walk around.

until... the grill loudly clanged behind him. as he tried to run away from the loud sound, the grill continued to follow him which just freaked him out more.

there he was running around the yard, pulling the small grill behind him, and trying to get away from it with charcoal and charcoal ashes flying everywhere. he tried to run under our shed, but couldn't squeeze under. he tried to run into his doghouse, but the grill stopped him at the door.

when i stopped laughing, i ran after him to take the grill off of him. he was fine - a little wide-eyed, but fine. i'm so glad it didn't happen to our other dog because he would have had to been instituted!

Oh that's funny. Great mental picture of that one. Total AFV moment if you would have caught it on camera.

I am just cracking up thinking of the picture in my head. Very funny!!! I am glad to hear that the dog did not become crazy because of the event.
