my daughter got her hair cut. she wanted it shorter when we first started talking about cutting her hair. since we cut her brother's hair every couple of months (or 3 or 4 months), she started talking about getting her hair cut. i didn't want to do it. it's so nice, long and brown.
however, it's only hair. it will grow back. i told her she could cut it to just below her shoulders - like mommy's hair. that's about as much as i could take.
we got a coupon from great clips for $6.99, so i took her in today. she had 6 inches cut off. she did great. i think it makes her look older - or maybe just her age. don't know if i'm ready for that with her brother about to lose his tooth!

Did you know that if you can get it 10" from a pony tail holder that you can donate it to "Locks of Love"? They make it into wigs for girls who have cancer or other things but who are unable to afford a wig. Ella is thinking about trying it. She has about 7" from the pony tail right now. It will be Looooong if we make it to 10"! :)
the lady had said if we cut 12 inches off it could be donated. 12 inches would have been too much. a 10 in. ponytail would be very very long! i don't even know if she could actually grow that out.
