black brownies

my third post for today - can you believe it?

i had some friends over today for a playdate. we had lasagna. i made some garlic bread (hamburger buns work great in a pinch). when i made it, i cooked them for about 5 minutes at 350 degrees then broiled it for about 2 minutes.

i also had to make some brownies for a coupon seminar i'm going to tonight. i mixed up the brownies and popped them into the oven. about 5 minutes later, i smelled the brownies, but they smelled like they were burning. i figured i dripped something onto the bottom of the oven. after about 10 more minutes, the smell got stronger and stronger. i was talking to the officer, stopped and ran to the kitchen. i realized i had not turned the knob from "broil" to "bake". i had broiled my brownies. i pulled them out. i got black quivery brownies. tasty no???

good thing i had another package of brownies i was going to make for homeschool group tomorrow. guess i'll have to make yet another trip to walmart tonight for another package of brownies. this is why my friend courtney will never have any competition from me!
