who knows why

i know you probably saw this picture of my son and his "killer moth" in my family reunion post; however, i wanted to tell you a little bit more about this picture.

do you see his hair? do you see that little part on the right that is hanging down on his forehead. i told him he had to get his hair cut last week before we went on vacation. he begged me to let him have his hair long for one day on vacation and then i could cut it. i used to cut his hair until he was about 1 1/2 years old. he would always sleep, but when i couldn't do it anymore because he would wake up i stopped. i told him i couldn't cut it anymore because he had too much hair.

we compromised. he got it cut and i agreed to let him have one little section that was not cut. it stayed long the entire trip. yesterday he cut it off to the same length as the rest of his other hair. i have no idea why he wanted his hair long one day of vacation or why this compromise was okay with him. doesn't matter. it's not worth a battle and it's not important. so we have a picture on our vacation of him and his "long hair".
