hello there. i am writing this for my friend, becky, who anxiously checks my blog (1 of 2 people who do - love you mom!) everyday to see if the cow is still the last blog post. won't she be surprised when she sees it is not. :) love you becky!
i don't have a lot going on right now i am in the middle of trying to write my blog post about my family reunion last week. it was great. we went to red river, new mexico with about 35 other family members. the weather was perfect and it was great being able to visit with everyone. there were a lot of pictures and i don't want to forgot some of the funny stuff that happened so hopefully i will get the post completed soon.
we have been having a great summer so far and i can't believe it's almost over. the officer has a dirt bike trip coming up and we are going to the great wolf lodge again within the next couple of months.
it seems like i have a ton of friends pregnant. six that i come to mind immediately. i love shopping for little pink and blue presents. i think three of them are due by the end of august and the other three by the end of the year.
my daughter is still doing her gymnastics. we thought about starting her in tae kwon do but i think we are going to wait a little longer. the officer started back into tae kwon do. he took about six months off. my son is still loving it. we have stopped with the swim lessons for the month of july, but we have spent much more time in the water, which is almost just as good.
i recently had my birthday and realized i am closer to 50 than i am to 21. like - much closer! OY! that's okay though. i don't mind.
school supplies are lining the shelves in stores. have i said that i love school supplies. those aisles and aisles of pencils, pens, calculators, folders, reams of paper, and trapper keeper binders. love it. i just like looking at all the neat stuff that comes out every year. well and who can resist some .10 glue or .25 crayola crayons???
we have been watching old movies with the kids. we watched mary poppins this week. they love it. i had seen it but not all the way through. i love the line, "practically perfect people do not permit sentiment to muddle their thinking." don't know why, but when i heard it i laughed and rewound the dvd to hear it again. do you know of any other wholesome family movies we could watch? leave me a comment if you do.
okay i've got to get back to the housework now. i hope this will hold you over until i finish my family reunion blog, becky! :)
