every once in a while my children surprise me. not in a "SURPRISE!!!" sort of way, but in a "i didn't know they would think that up. know what i mean???
my son has always been one to ask questions - about everything. i have always done my best to answer his questions. as far as i felt comfortable or was intellectually able.
a couple of weeks ago he asked me what all the "r"s and "tm"s with a circle around the letter meant. i told him it meant it was a registered trademark. someone thought of the name or the product and put a trademark on it saying it was his idea. other people were not supposed to copy from it and say it was theirs.
well the other day my son showed me this picture (you can see the trademark symbol in the upper left-hand corner:
this picture is of bionicles - apparently most of them are asianhe said he is going to start writing the "trademark" symbol on his stuff so his sister (or anyone) could copy his work.
