what's the "nellie olsen"?

the officer was showing my son some simple control techniques. he was showing him how: if you control the fingers, you control the hand, if you control the hand, you controls the arm, if you control the arm, you can control the body. the officer also showed him what the full-nelson and half nelson (my son liked "chicken wing" better) was.

oh wait - a little back story... my kids have started listening to the little house on the prairie series on cds. we check them out from the library. if anyone knows of another series we can listen to, let me know. they listen to it when they are going to bed. my son has really, really enjoyed them! we have heard just about all of the books available in the series.

back to today ....

when we got home from lunch, my son and the officer were drawing transformers.

my son stops drawing and said, "daddy, can you do the "nellie olsen" thing?"

"what?"

"you know, remember the "nellie olsen"?" my son replied.

"what is the "nellie olsen", son?"

"you know the "chicken wing" stuff!"

"OH, do you mean the "full-nelson"?"

"YEAH!!! that's it, daddy!"
