i didn't have time to type another post on valentine's day. so this is late in coming.
i hadn't expected much for valentine's day. the officer had to work and we had not made any plans. however, it turned out to be a great day.
when we woke up, there were little presents and cards for the kids and me on the kitchen table from the officer. i cleaned the house a little bit and then we had to head to tae kwon do. i had decided to make a roast for dinner (another of the officer's favorite meal and something i can cook!). when we arrived back home from tae kwon do, the officer surprised us and came home for lunch. he let me take a nap AND during that nap he had the kids clean their room. the nap itself was good enough, but then to have the house cleaned a little more was "gravy".
we ate dinner together around the table - that doesn't always happen. during dinner, we each took a turn saying something we loved each person sitting at the table. the kid's answer were interesting. my daughter said she loved daddy tickling her and my son said he loved it when i took them to church. after dinner, the kids got their pajamas on and we read the story about Jesus dying on the cross - the ultimate act of love. it was a great day to be able to spend together.
