my daughter's running vocabulary

my daughter just makes up words or uses whatever words she thinks is appropriate. usually these words are used many times, not just a one-time use. i want a place where i can keep a running list.

what she thinks the word is - what the actual word is.

pannani - pinata - that's what she calls her dora pinata.

borange - christ was "borange"

polka dock - polka dot - the emphasis is on the "CK" of dock.

froggy - fog - it sure is froggy outside today momma!

scarf - scar - i have a scar from chickenpox on my forehead. she always points to it and says, "that's your chicken scarf, right momma?"

chickenpop - chicken pox. she has a baby that has chicken pox marks on it's face. you can rub the spots away. she said, "mommy, look i made the chickenpops go away!"

spot tea - spot of tea - this is what she said when she wanted me to have a tea party with her, "mommy, do you want to have spot tea with me?"

tubar four - two by four - andy was hanging pictures and said he hit a 2 x 4. she was running around saying "daddy hit a tuber four, daddy hit a tuber four!"

clockulator - clock radio - we got her a clock for her room. she wanted a clock with a radio like her brothers. however, when she was telling me about, it was "clockulator".

encycle - recycle - she loves to see if something is "encycleable". she looks for the triangle on the bottom of all plastic things.

eeder me - me either - whenever she wants to include herself into something someone is saying she will say, "eeder me!"

piggybank - piggyback - the word piggybank is a real word so this is progress; however, she uses it when she asks for piggyback rides from her cousins.

chickole' - chick-fil-a - every time we talk about eating at the mall, my daughter asks, "can we eat at chickole'?"

hopscott - hopscotch - she asked her grandma to play "hopscott" today. too cute.

oakmeal - oatmeal - she loves the officer's oakmeal chocolate chip cookies!

crack backer - chiropractor - her daddy has started going to the chiropractor. she calls him the crack backer because "he cracks backs". makes sense doesn't it?

high toes - high heels - look mommy these stickers are high toes!

unraser - eraser - i don't like when the unraser is gone from my pencil.

sensei - Scentsy

Larry, Mo, Curly, Shrimp - when asked what the names are of the Three Stooges.

horribibble - horrible

phenominom - thermometer

snackerdoodle - snickerdoodle

peekhole - peephole
