It's a Mad, Mad World

The wonderful UPS man brought me a package today. It was a styrofoam box with an itty bitty frozen food product inside. The kids were very excited to see the other item in the box.

Dry Ice.

As my son would say, "It's mad scientist time!"

We chiseled it down to smaller pieces so the pieces could be divided up and fit into test tubes!

Here's my mad scientist!

We took some time and talked about what dry ice is made up from and what it's used for. Unexpected fun for these homeschool kids. :)
