new shoes

my tennis shoes were getting worn out. seriously worn out. the back of the shoes were broken down. there were holes that were getting bigger. the sole of one of the shoes had worn the hard rubber sole off. it was time for new shoes.

i went shopping for new tennis shoes. i found some, but i ended up taking them back a week later because i didn't like them. i hadn't worn them so it wasn't a problem exchanging them. when i went shopping the second time around i didn't have kids with me. i was able to take my time to look around and try on all the tennis shoes i liked. i found a pair i liked. i found out several years ago that i liked gray tennis shoes because they didn't appear to look dirty as quickly as white shoes. i tried on about 5 pairs of tennis shoes and then decided upon a gray pair of tennis shoes. when i got home i realized why i liked them so much.

they look amazing much like my former pair of shoes. i knew there was a reason i was drawn to them! :) it just confirms what i've known all along. when i find something i like, i will buy it in 5 different colors. boring i know, but you have to do what works for you!
