it's official!

adoption is very near and dear to our whole family. since my sister and i were adopted, we were very excited when the opportunity to adopt opened up to my sister.

it's official today. my sister, mistie, and her husband, brandon, have doubled their amount of kids today. well in all reality it has been more than doubled for some time.

a little under three years ago, my sister got a foster child. he was 3 months old. less than one year later, she brought his brother home from the hospital and then there were two foster children.

that's not the end. a little under a year and a half later they bring home from the hospital the little sister of the two boys.

In you the orphan finds mercy.

it's been a long time coming. last year the mother and father gave up the parental rights to the two boys and the adoption process began.

today was the end of that process. they went to the court house today to officially adopt the boys. it is their 13 year anniversary today and God has blessed them with the addition of the two boys. what better blessing could there be?

the judge was so nice. before he started, he told us to feel free to move around anywhere in the courtroom to get pictures and then he took a picture with them.
