it's wednesday but it feels like the week has just gotten started. this past weekend we went to texas to visit my grandparents. on the way home we stopped at medieval times. that weekend is a whole other blog post because there are too many pictures! it was a great weekend though. monday was filled with school, washing all our dirty laundry and just getting settled back into home life. you know how it is. no matter how much fun it is to go on a quick getaway it's always nice to come back home and sleep in your own bed. especially when you come back home and your house is clean. nothing like it. the officer took monday to rebuilt our dog hobbs another dog house. his other doghouse was in pretty bad shape and we needed a smaller once since our other dog, jesse, died.the officer bought all the supplies and built in all monday. on tuesday he decided to
spend the day with my son. he took him up to grandma and papa's to dirtbike ride and to shoot his bb gun. they had a great time and ended up staying the night. my daughter and i spent the day together just hanging out. i love spending one on one time with her and so far she still loves it. we also spent the evening painting the doghouse. well actually we painted our hands, feet, elbows, shirt and pants. we also managed to get two coats of paint onto the doghouse too.the rest of the week is going to be filled with the truth project, school, and getting things ready for son's birthday party. i actually managed to get the invitations out on monday. now i just have to plan the party. shouldn't be too hard (that's sarcasm). i have my friend, jill coming into town on friday. i get to spend the day with her and her two boys. can't wait. i know i've mentioned jill before. we don't get to spend a lot of time together, especially with our kids. so i'm really looking forward to it. seems like there is something going on saturday, but it's escaped me now.
are you into the throes of planning thanksgiving, bfs shopping and christmas yet? i am. i am sending out emails, making phone calls, and planning. trying to get plans nailed down so we can spend time with everyone. i really do love this season. it's my favorite time of the year. i have already started christmas shopping. what do you do regarding christmas presents with relatives? do you purchase gifts for everyone? does your family draw names? do you have some other way of doing gifts? we draw names. that's how it's been for a while. i like to draw names before bfs so i know who i can shop for that shopping day. okay rambling now. going to get busy on the other post about our weekend instead of making you read my useless rambling. :) hope you are having a good week.
