what's going on with you?

hello there blog friends. how are you? what have you been up to? we've been doing good here. i'm trying to think of what all has been going on. last week the officer was off and he didn't run any funeral escorts so we got to hang out with him. he took the kids to the monster truck rally. the officer and my son had gone with papa last year. my daughter made the officer promise to take her along on the next time they were in town. so the officer, my son, my daughter, the officer's friend and his son all went to the monster truck rally.

the officer said after about 20 minutes the kids were bored. my son was excited to see "grave digger" because he remembered him from the last rally.

during the intermission, guys who rode dirtbikes and bicycles came out and did tricks. the kids loved that! here's their finale.



we also went to incredible pizza. it wasn't quite like the last time we went. however my son did win 100 tickets at one game. a total of 150 tickets got him a samurai sword, a missile launcher, and a blue squishy dinosaur. my daughter got a pink ninja, a kazoo & whistle (which have both been a lot of fun!), and a squishy pink lizard. it's probably the one time we will go there this year.

it was nice to be able to hang out with the officer.

i have been cleaning house for someone. why is it more fun to clean someone else's house than it is to clean yours? i can spend 3 hours cleaning someone else's house and it doesn't bother me, but i'm not always as chipper cleaning my own house. i guess i don't have to be around to see it get dirty again with in the hour. i get to see the result of all the work and leave with that picture in my mind. in my own house, it's not too long before i step on a lego or trip over a shoe. oh well, at least i find cleaning relaxing.

i'm thinking about starting another blog. a blog about couponing and the deals i find so i can help other find them too. not sure yet. don't actually have a lot of time to do that. i've made up the name and started the blog, but haven't made it public or even posted anything for that matter. i have blogged several times about some of my shopping trips but decided to not do it any more on this blog. this blog is dedicated to my family and trying to write down the memories of our lives. so we'll see.

i laughed at my daughter the other day. she bumped her head on the wall and exclaimed, " i almost slapped my brain out of my head!" she tapped her head and said, "there i put it back." where does she get this stuff?
