On May 5, 2012, my son tested for his second degree on his black belt in tae kwon do. He was a little nervous to say the least. However, one of his good friends was also testing for his second degree. They started about the same time. I know he was glad to know he was not doing it alone.
My son had to perform all the new forms he had learned.
He had to do 110 round house kicks. You can tell from the video he gets pretty tired, but he works hard until the very end.
He had to spar several opponents. One of his opponents was his friend, the other black belt. He loves to spar him.
He broke four boards with four different kicks and punch through a board.
He said it hurt his hand to punch through the board, but he did it on the first attempt.
The picture below is of all the black belts who tested and the judges.
My son want to make it all the way to "Master". That's a fourth degree black belt. If he stays on track, he can could be a "Master" when he is 14. It's been a lot of hard work on his behalf to get him to this point. We are very proud of him. Love you son!
