POPS on Route 66

we decided to take the kids to Pops. it's a gas station with a gazillion bottles of soda on route 66.

on a tv screen inside the store/restaurant, they boasted selling over 1,000,000 bottles of soda. it has a huge bottle of soda that lights up at night. their glass windows are lined with soda bottles. their food is not world famous, but you go there more for the atmosphere and experience. it's set up like a 50's diner.

we arrived around 4:45 p.m. we ordered our food. the officer got country fried chicken with mashed potatoes. i ordered the grilled onion burger. the kids got a hamburger and chicken tenders.

while we waited for our food, i took the kids around to find a soda they would like to have with dinner. this is a treat. they rarely have any kind of soda. it was almost overwhelming. after walking down the aisles several times, selections were made.

my daughter picked a strawberry soda and my son picked a creme soda. they were very excited to drink out of the glass bottles.

our food arrived and the kids enjoyed their drinks. i laughed at them because the soda would be burn going down their throats and tickle their noses.

of course my son made sure to show the soda bottles with the labels that had eyeballs on them.

before we left, we made sure to take a picture by the soda bottle outside. my son had guessed he would be four stripes tall. he was only three.
