any suggestions????

of course it's summer time. this mean much more time outside. however, it also means more mosquitos (or squitos as my daughter calls them). i am allergic to them. i think my kids are also. when i was at my mom's house saturday, we went outside for 15 minutes. they have a pond and so the mosquitos were out. the kids and i were bitten. i was only bitten once, but it became a doosie!

the bite's about the size of my palm

my daughter was bitten on her hands and legs. some of the bites swelled but some of them didn't. of course it's very hard for her not to scratch them. i can take benedryl; however, i will fall asleep for a minimun of 4 hours afterward. it's not always convenient for me to take it. does anyone have any other suggestions for mosquito bites??? comment me! thanks!

Oh Treasure.... those bites are awful!! My sister reacts the very same way. I wish that I had some advice for you, but I just don't. I hope you find something that works for you guys.

Have you tried Sting Eze? You can find it in the fishing section at Wal-Mart usually. We also use After-Bite but that is more for bee stings I think. Good luck!

Brett seems to attract mosquitos like he has sugar for blood. One actually turned into an infection! I give him Benadryl only at night. I have tried Benadryl spray but it is pretty sticky and they complain that it burns a bit. I got some plain hydrocortisone creme and put that on and it seemed to help a LOT.

Oh! One more thing. They have these new "off" clips I've seen in the store. You clip it on your belt loop when outside and it is supposed to repel like your own personal citronella candle. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm wanting to!

Have you tried Calamine Lotion. I don't think it will help with the swelling but it migt help with the itching.
