is that korean?

i was sitting at the kitchen table with my kids eating lunch today. my son was trying to read these plaques with scriptures we have on our walls. he got to top one and noticed the writing was different. it was cursive writing. we haven't worked on this in school yet. we've talked about it and told him we would start it later in the year.

he said, "which letters are those up there mom?"

"it's d.e.l.i.g.h.t." i replied.

we talked about how he could recognize some of the letters but not all of them.

"oh okay. well you know that's korean up there and i can't read it because i'm from oklahoma." he tells me.

he knows it's not korean but he can't remember the word "cursive". :)
