buried treasure

my son is working on a small family tree for his cub scouts. he is only going as far as his great grandparents. i was having trouble remembering my in-law's parents names. i thought i knew, but i wasn't sure so we called the officer's parents to ask them.

after we got off the phone, i was telling my son, "many people use their parent's name when they name their children. for instance your middle name is papa's middle name and sister's middle name is grandma's middle name. great grandma's name is your aunt's name." it went on and on for a bit while i explained how all the names were connected.

i told him if he wanted to name his daughter treasure, that would be fine by me! :)

he promptly replied, "i'll name her "buried treasure", she'll like that!"

umm.. no, no she won't.
